And about fast, this is even worse, and on a bass guitar as well. 7 string one!

You know. You guys are right!!!! I like to play fast and all. But when I come down to playing live. well that is the tricky part. If you are in a cover band. People don't want to hear this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7rm4uI-q ... re=mh_lolz
Now, that you seen the vid, People go to bar to enjoy after a long week at work or looking for the other half to spend the rest of the weekend or couples that just want to hear a good cover band live.
In the other hand if you are a person that collect toys, comic book, play lot of x box or what other type of activity you do at home them you can play this at home.

So, after reading some of your topic here about speed or who is fastest or slow. That sorta open my eyes. I like to play fast for the see I can do this type of thing. But when I write music, I like to write something that can be understood with feeling. Not just blast people away with: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2NV3Cdni ... re=related
Good topic guys

okay. Food for thought..
If a speed and blasting solo doesn't mean you are best and playing slow and with feel and soul sometime is better. How come these 2 guys are known by many as awesome and virtuso??

IMO because they can both do about anything they want to on a guitar. Slow and soulful, fast and technical but still evocative, such good players it ain't even right

Also IMO, it isn't accurate to categorically classify fast playing as lacking feeling, different feelings are appropriate for different songs and some feelings are better evoked by faster playing. The best approach IMO is "tension and release" soloing wherein speed is varied to evoke a series of different moods in the same solo. Randy Rhoads was great at this and so is Steve Vai, just to name a couple.
Signature? What signature?

True..
I also came to the conclusion that. Not every style is for everybody. I like fast but with feeling sorta like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pX_kJjLW ... plpp_video.
I really love his tone

as far as the "best", I like Magic Sam...In the second song, part of "Sam's Boogie", he is playing a borrowed guitar with Earl Hooker's band...
