That's quite a nice collection RR! With that many Peaveys It's good that you joined the forum. Plenty of good info to keep them all goin strong.

I bought my setup in 93 and am so happy with it I never really needed another amp. I got a Rage at the same time cause I leave the big rig at our practice space. Peavey Rocks!

Update since my C/50 is old I got a great deal on a new VK-100 head...
I only seperated my Amp from my C/50 to make it lighter and easier to carry..
Now I've got my new VK-100 dialed in and YES the "texture control" does work...
Here's the updated looks of both....

Nice rig, tommer.

This thread has been around for a while! I'm a late comer, but here are some shots of my Peavey amps.

I just got the Penta head in Feb of 2011. I've had the cab for a couple of years. I got the 6505+ and the XXX cab fairly recently too. Spring 2010. I've had the Supreme XL head for a couple of years.

...with the death metal tone dialed in!
Low at 7, Mids at 0, high at 4 but presence at 10!

I have not come across a 6534+ at a shop here yet. I'm curious to hear one. The 6505 + is a heavy sounding amp, and I like the edge that EL34 tubes impart to an amp's tone. I have read nothing but great reviews ofr the 6534+.

yeah thats how I dial it in with low volume. Mind you I goose the thing with a tubescreamer so You get alot of those mids back. Otherwise at higher volumes I turn the mids up to about 5 or 6 then the highs are about 7 or 8 and the presence gets backed off just to take that edge off. I love this amp. Totally cured my cravings for an engl. No matter if I decide to get another amp down the line or not this one will never leave me. Its just that damn good.
