i did it again

No it's not the Brittany Spears song.........but this means that i played my Peavey 3120 with the impedance switch at 16 ohm even if my cabinet is at 8 ohm. For about one hour.

Someone think that i damaged something?

Probably not.
My name is WT, and I approve this opinion.

No problem. What is Bad is playing your amp with NO speaker connected.Just one notch of impedance mis-match is no big deal. Many have done it from time to time without any damages.

Would That Be......Brittany Spears "Unplugged" :?:

Unplugged is the main concern using amp.

You would have known if you damaged anything. The only thing that is at some risk is the output transformer. It would depends on what do you call playing for an hour. Full volume, shredding hard enough to rip the strings off with the hottest possible bias setting on loudest power tubes money can buy, dean-dime... the output transformer might give. Finger-picking Appalachian country song - you can do that for decades.

I doubt you could damage anything doing it that way.

But, question for the room: is there any way he could mis-match his cab and impedance switch that could cause damage to the amp?
Signature? What signature?
