Ok now i have my tubes picked out to try.
thanks to all the help from you guys on the fourm. i am looking
to try a new speaker in the classic 30. then later trying differnt speakers in the 50 4/10.

here is 2 speakers i am looking at has anyone threid these in the classic 30. ?
I must add that i primarly play classic rock/blues i was thinking if i was to play more metal i need a 5150 or 6505 ect.

1-Celestion G12H 30 Watt Anniversary Vintage Guitar Speaker 150.00
2-Celestion Vintage 30 Speaker 150.00 all from guitar center

What about the classic 50/410 what have you tried in it.

i thought about some mods but i dont think there worth it. i think a speaker change would be better im not sure though.?.
has anyone seen tonehunter mods. i think he is just really changing tubes like you guys are and adding new spekakers heres a link to his site. http://www.tonehunter.de/mods/mods-peavey-en.php
thanks again

See signature for my set up. I love it. I play mostly classic rock, some blues and some country. No metal.

Save money by buying direct from speaker manufacturer......

WGS Speakers [Paducah Kentucky / Made In USA]

Various model speakers with British Voicing at half the price of Celestions through retailers.

I've had everything in my C-30 at one time or another, and own both speakers you are inquiring about. Both are nice speakers, but I say the Celestion Greenback is the best way to go for the kind of music you play. I play the same stuff. YMMV.
