Watching all the forums -so it looks like you got an answer about arrival time on the 5000s and 7500s from official Peavy? Within 90 days?

Yeah ! :D :D :D :D :D

in the photos, go to pictures 22 & 23 to see what the IPR2 (5000 & 7500) will look like.

Then of course, we get back to the when question......

Cheers,

Last night I looked at dealer price lists, and all of the models are there. That is a good sign. I have a call into the rep for ETAs.

There have been other people commenting here and other places about previous IPR reliability. We too had some issues, but Peavey was, as always, swift to correct the issues. All companies have things happen outside of their control. I sell just about every amp manufacturer and console manufacturer and they all have had some kind of a problem at some point.

Since everyone has issues from time to time, Peavey should be looked upon as a reliable company, that stands behind it's products with excellent service and support. They address issues quickly, which is something some other manufacturers cannot say.

Thanks for the info! If your rep gives you a date you believe - please share that too!

So when you say "all of the models are there" do you mean IPR5000 and IPR2 5000?
Because there are websites out there still taking pre-orders for the IPR5000 and 7500. :?:

I have been happy with my IPR3k and pretty much every Peavey product I've owned - and it's a loooong list going back to 1976. Peavey customer service has been for me top notch too. My only beef is this weird IPR rollout. Just too frustrating all around.

All Prices List Price US

IPR™ 2 2000 (New)* $549.99
IPR™ 2 3000 (New)* $599.99
IPR™ 2 2000 DSP (New)* $699.99
IPR™ 2 3000 DSP (New)* $799.99
IPR™ 2 5000 (New)* $899.99
IPR™ 2 7500* (New)* $1,099.99
IPR™ 2 5000 DSP (New)* $1,199.99
IPR™ 2 7500 DSP (New)*$1,299.99

Well, here is what I know from reading John Roberts posts, about his time with Peavey. They can only build products when they have components that meet spec. JR said that they would meet with vendors who would promise one thing and deliver another, or under-estimate the demands placed components in our industry. Sometimes, because of component supply and performance issues, it is hard to keep line consistency. Sometimes products cannot be scaled up in power for various reasons. This is nothing new. What might work well at a specific price point for a 200W amp may not work as easily at 2000W. I suspect that they just got reliable components, technology and decided to relaunch a better version, based on the experience they have accumulated so far.

I'm just wondering now, for those of us who pre-ordered the IPR-7500 at $649, since that item no longer exists due to name change, if the retailer will still honor that contract?

This should be interesting......

Yeah, well..I don't know why dealers would ever sell anything before it is released...especially today.

Did the dealer take your money as a pre-order deposit or as a pre-sale? They will probably be on the hook if it is a pre-sale purchase.

Has the price jumped quite a bit?
An IPR 1600 was around $299 (street) and a IPR2000 will be $549? Its not going to drop to a $299 street price. :x

Even if there is a little ramp up in power that is quite a price jump. Am I missing something?

Supply and HUGE DEMAND! They can't even keep up with supply for the little ones - and folks have been chomping at the bit on the larger for 2 years? So why not jack the price? Was the "original price" ever realistic anyways? Maybe an introductory offer to break the ice?

Blast, blast, and double blast. I see my "favorite" online seller has changed the arrival of IPR7500 date YET AGAIN.

After a month of listing IPR7500/IPR5000 as expecting on 3/3, it's is now back to "soon, with more on the way".

MORE ? Really? How can they say more when they've NEVER HAD ANY ?

How can they flip back and forth between 3 stock (INCORRECT) adverts for 2 years ?

I really have to ask myself at this point why would I patronize ANY company that engages in this kind of repeated B.S.

Unreal ! :?

We were watching the same thing I'm sure :(

Now there is rumor of an IPR2 series?

Was *really* hoping these weren't vaporware, guess I'll have to rethink my planned PA setup.
