Hello,
Do you have the monitor send knob(#6)for channel and/or master (knob#19 in manual) turned up? What type of monitors are you using? Passive or active? If active are they turned up on monitor itself? Also make sure mute buttons are not pressed. Simple but does happen.
Your manual is your friend. Read, Read and reread.
Let us know what your working with and if this solved it please.

We tried again at the weekend to get the monitors to work, have Read, Read and re-read the manual, we're doing nothing wrong they just won't work, the monitors themselves are fine, everything on the desk works great except the monitors...........we just can't get any sound out to them using the monitor output.

Tell us exactly how you have your cables connected from your mixer through any other devices and ending with the monitor speakers themselves. What are each jack labled that you have the cables connected?

The PA sounds great we are getting a good sound out front, the monitors on stage however we are still not getting anything from....

I have a jack to jack from the monitor out connection on the mixer to the input of the monitor. I am thinking the mixer is not working correctly regarding the monitor out.

You will need an amplifier in there somewhere, that Monitor out is a Line Out signal.

Can't see how that would make a difference, the monitors work fine with another desk we have.....they are Mackie powered speakers, we have also tried Peavey Eurosys Powered Monitors

There must be a working guitar amp nearby. Pull the cord out of the guitar and plug it into one of the main out jacks on the mixer. This is just to verify the working amp and the working main mix will agree to make sound together. Then pull the plug out of the main out and stick it in the MON out. Apply signal to a channel input, set up the faders, monitor sends and monitor masters. If that results in sound, then the mixer would seem to be working. If that does not result in sound, then we figure out what is wrong with the monitor master.

Just checking, but you do have the monitor master turned up, right?

OK, so we accept that the mixer has a dead monitor output. This should not be difficult for a technician to set straight. You have various things like AUX sends, FX sends, Maybe other MON sends. Just check every send you have. If there is anything else wrong, it could be related.

How technical are you? Can you wield a meter and can you replace ICs on a circuit board? If you contact Peavey customer service, they will send you the schematics. WOuld you understand those?
