Looking to get Children of Bodom sound

ive never tried but i know alexi uses an old lee jackson pre amp....his guitar also has a built in 3 band eq inside....and active pick ups of course

Tubescreamer, and the brit or plexi model would be a good place to start.
Crank up the mids too
