Thanks, Rockman!

Let me know what you come up with.

Here's another one....

I may be off my rocker, but is there a way to get the Vyper Tube amp to do power tube distortion or does it not even matter?

I was reading over at MyLesPaul.com about the difference between pre-amp overdrive and power tube overdrive. The consensus was that most guitarists prefer to overdrive the power tubes, meaning the distortion was better that way.

Anyway, I thought I'd try it out but so far I'm not seeing much of a difference.

Does anyone know why VYPYRSETTINGS.FR is down (or is it me)?

It was down last night and I figured it would be up by now.......

That's weird it's working fine for me. Sometimes the computer can get wacky. Don't click on the saved link that's stored in the computer. Maybe re-typing in the link then press enter will do the trick for you.

No luck with Chrome nor IE, nor typing it in. Tried another PC, too.

Strange, I've made many visits to the site with no problems.

Oh well.......

Just checked back, on a lark, and I got in.

Don't know what the problem was, but no matter. I can again access the site..... :D

Jackson SLATXXMG3-7 (SD Balckouts)-->Vypyr Tube 120H-->H&K WarpT 4x12 (2xV30/2xHOT100).

Song or Artist: None
Stompbox: Squeeze (P1=0 P2=Max)
Amp Model Used/Green or Red: Rec Red
Effects: None
Pre-Gain: Max
Low: Noon
Mid: Max
High: Noon
Post Gain: Noon

(Set to "dark" by holding down 2 and booting).

So freaking tight, and not noisey at all. The gate seems to work really well like this. This is just the low volume sound that I am chasing, and will not work well with some guitars or at loud volumes. I am in love with this amp though :D

I've been trying to get a ballpark Beatles era George Harrison jangle and can't quite nail it...I think part of the problem is that I do the "tone shaping" late in the evening and use headphones.

The guitar - a PRS SE Custom Semi-Hollow body with GFS dream 180 in the neck position and GFS Liverpool in bridge position; ground wound light strings for a flat wound sound.

The amp - Peavey Vypyr VIP1 with Sanpera 1 foot controller.

edit - after reading the manual yet again, the reason I'm being unsuccessful is that the British model is based on a AC30 with the tone stack bypassed a la Brian May...the Classic model is based on the Peavey Classic 50, which also uses EL84's...I dialed a ballpark Beatles Jangle based on the Classic model. I'll do some fine-tuning tomorrow using the speaker rather than headphones. Thus far, it looks like this:

Artist: George Harrison / Beatles jangle
Stompbox: n/a
Amp Model Used/Green or Red: Classic green
Effects: n/a
Pre-Gain: 4
Low:2.5
Mid:3.5
High:3.5
Post Gain:4
Reverb: (to your personal taste, I have it at 2)
delay: off
Master: as required
Forgive the lack of chops ;)

I can't get registered on vypyrsettings.fr, I am not receiving the confirmation mail from them and I can't activate my account.
I've tried with two e-mail addresses and nothing. I've also checked the spam folder and it didn't arrived there either.

What can I do?

Same problem here. Just picked up a Vypyr 75 and would like to check out that site if it's still working.

I've found some settings on their facebook page but there are not many.

Is anybody willing to share with me his account there?
You can send me a PM. Thanks!

Tried getting on the site the last few days and this pops up.

Reported Attack Page!

This web page at vypyrsettings.fr has been reported as an attack page and has been blocked based on your security preferences.

Attack pages try to install programs that steal private information, use your computer to attack others, or damage your system.

Some attack pages intentionally distribute harmful software, but many are compromised without the knowledge or permission of their owners.

So for those of you that tried registering this is probably the reason why you're having problems.

Yes, I am getting that warning too and the site has some viruses but I have AV program and that is not a problem.
The problem is that I can't activate my account after registration, they are not sending the validation email.

Looks like I am in the same boat as everyone else... can't get the validation e-mail...

Sucks.

In the mean time, can someone help me out with settings for a really good AC/DC sound?

I have a Gibson SG, so guitar wise I am halfway there.... but what would be the optimal settings for a Vypyr 75 to get that really good Angus/Malcolm sound?

Thanks,

D.
