Let's Share Some Vypyr Settings
Re: Let's Share Some Vypyr Settings

I don't mind at all. It's a great idea to share settings! I'm still amazed at how good the 6505 green channel sounds with the Tube Scrm.. I bounce back & forth with the gain settings though. I use the one you posted above a lot and also back down the gain to 12pm for a "tighter" rhythm tone. Sounds a LOT like a Splawn Quickrod when the gain is at 12pm. Love that tone! The 6505 model sounds good alone too.. Nice punchy tone.

Excellent!!! Thanks.
What effect could I use to get the sound of rolling the volume on after picking the note, or will I have to roll the volume on? This would be in a clean config.

I've been using the 6505 and TubeScrm for all kinds of things, it sounds bloody wicked. Cranking the drive you can get a real good metal tone that I use for my dropped tunings.

My favourite amp model this week is the JSX, it cleans up nicely and gives that breaking-up crunch if you get the preamp level right, just like a heavy rhythm part thru a tube amp should be. In red mode its cutting and rich and just great for lead parts.

CCR settings - General good start! I play on a 1981 Peavey T-60 and a 1995 Ash body Strat, I love warming up with this tone! Any tweaks let me know!
Re: Let's Share Some Vypyr Settings
Its a good setting but too much gain for my humbuckers - I dial down the tubescreamer P1 to 1-2 and the pre-gain to 2, to get a nice crunch without too much dostortion. This setting really opens up when you switch to the Brit amp model - makes the Fender types sound quite boxy in comparison.
Re: Let's Share Some Vypyr Settings
If you look on the previous page of this thread, you'll see I already did
Re: Let's Share Some Vypyr Settings
For old gits like myself. Start with this, and then add or take away effects as you need. I like both humbuckers with full tone on each.

This is more than likely posted from my Zune HD.
Re: Let's Share Some Vypyr Settings
Be useful for people posting these to include a quick line about what guitar/pickups you are using for these tones.

Hey guy`s I`am picking up my amp on Friday,75 watt.I love the idea of exchanging setting, but taking into the different pickups and guitars I was thinking we should start up different threads for sharing based on guitar pickups, body type, neck type. That way we can share setting that we can use with are setup.I have 2 guitars:1 with PAF style humbucklers that can be used as single coil too.The other with High output humbucklers.I`am new to playing so I value your input. Re: Let's Share Some Vypyr Settings
I don't see any need to overcomplicate things - just post them all on here and include a couple of words about guitar/pickup, its simple enough if you have s/c pickups adapting a HB setting by dialling in a little more pre-gain and maybe a small change to the eq as per your own tastes. Some of the overdriven settings (and lets face it, the vast majority of these settings are all overdriven..!) do sound very different thru a strat than they do thru a dual HB guitar.
