Hi! New to this site and need a little help. Bought a Vypyr 30 Watt Modeling Amp recently for a little over a $100.00 from a national chain store. Love the amp! Just wondered what the retail price is/was for this amp when brand new. This amp was slightly used.
Thanks!

Welcome, Lugnuts.
I've been using a Vypyr 30 for nearly 3 years as one of my gigging amps.
I love Vypyrs and VIPs--they are Peavey tough and settings are easy to adjust on the fly without resorting to a laptop as with another brand. Plus they cover all styles of music from hard rock to pop, jazz and country.

Guitars: Fender Tele and Strat, Ibanez ES 53, Epiphone Joe Pass, Junior and Casino, Traveler Escape and C1, Lag, Ovation and Hermida acoustics. Basses: 1983 Squier Precision bass and Precision/Tele bass

I could not agree more. I have had my Vypyr 30 for almost 4 years. Love the amps models and has a lot of nice effects. I bought my VIP3 last May and love this amp. I do miss some of the amp models on the original Vypyr like the Rec and JSX but love the 6534 on the VIP3. The VIP3 is just awesome with all the amps, effects and instrument models. The last time I played in church we didn't have a bass play and there was a mellow part in one worship song with just a drum and bass so I setup a patch for a bass instrument on a bass amp and played the part. My buddy was really impressed how fast I set it up and how well the bass sounded coming from my strat with a hot rail. The next time we are doing Walk my Faith which I will play an acoustic sim, clean electric and on some parts an electric violin. I am a tube amp guy and have always been impressed with how the Vypyr amps seem to have a tube feel and sound to them especially when you crank them up.
