I'd consider a VIP2.
My VIP1 is my grab 'n go amp and the backup amp for my Fender Deluxe Reverb and Excelsior tube amps.

I wish Peavey would come out with a VIP or Vypyr floorboard. I'd be a sure sale.

I had really good service from my two modded Vypyr15s and Vypyr30
Guitars: Fender Tele and Strat, Ibanez ES 53, Epiphone Joe Pass, Junior and Casino, Traveler Escape and C1, Lag, Ovation and Hermida acoustics. Basses: 1983 Squier Precision bass and Precision/Tele bass

I like the Vypyr and VIP amps I own and have no plans in selling them.

Now I'm looking into a Peavey Classic amp or a ValveKing combo.
I agree Jspencer, having a good tube amp is always something to own too.
