Added a speaker out jack to the amp connected to the 8 ohm speaker (parallel) and conected to a Peavey 212 MC cab, Sounds great so far. Will this set up damage the amp?

Very cool & well to me as long as its at the rated ohm for the amp shouldn't be a issue.

Still think if peavey was smart, they'd do head versions of the VIP & the soon to be released Vypyr Pro. Which if they wanted the pro's to be touring amps for pro musicians you'd think a head format would be out then a combo.

:o Solid-state Amps: Most solid-state amplifiers would rather look at an open circuit (no speaker at all) than a load. Therefore, you can usually use a load that is higher than the recommended load. Do not use a lower impedance load, as this could cause serious damage to your SS amp. You may want to change to (series). Two 8 ohm speakers in series give 16 ohm output. Two in parallel give 4 ohm output. Or you could use a switching output jack.

Hi, how did you do this? Can you take a pic of the back of the amp?

Installed a jack plate and a ¼" TS jack. All the info i got the Blue wire is (-) and the yellow is (+). Hooked the (+) from the speaker to the (+) on the ¼ jack. The (-) from the speaker to the (-) on the ¼ jack.
