Vypyr 30 on CD/concert stages

Post by Johnny Roxx » Fri Sep 26, 2014 12:23 pm

I've been using two Vypyr 30s since 2008. Recorded with it on CDs, performed with it on concert stages opening for Night Ranger, Pat Benatar, Dee Snider, Vince Neil, Bret Michaels etc. Best Vypyr related stories from those gigs are Rudy Sarzo and Brad Gillis both complimenting me on my tone. Brad came up searching around my rig and asked "okay dude, where's the rest of your rig? " He was looking for a secret box. Anyway, below is my ReverbNation page full of songs and videos all using my Vypyr 30s on records and concert stages. Best amp I've ever owned!

I had good luck with my Vypyr 30 as a stage amp including a concert where I used two guitars (jazz box and a Strat) through an A/B box and ran an electrified banjo with a clean boost through the auxilliary channel.

Sure, I could have used different amps for the guitars and banjo, but with 18 other musicians on stage squeezing in another amp would have been nearly impossible.
Guitars: Fender Tele and Strat, Ibanez ES 53, Epiphone Joe Pass, Junior and Casino, Traveler Escape and C1, Lag, Ovation and Hermida acoustics. Basses: 1983 Squier Precision bass and Precision/Tele bass
