New Peavey Vapor Trail Pro 2

Post by Klink » Tue Mar 31, 2015 8:43 pm

Wow, can't wait for this one (but I'll have to) - it's due to be announced at NAFF 2016 then released (after a price hike) in early 2019!!

Apparently it's got real tubes and pretend ones and you can switch between them for well, bugger all difference really. It's got 999 amps and fx and apparently takes around 2 years getting to learn how to use it before you're actually allowed to gig with it. Yep, the Vapor Trail is coming (not so) soon to a store near you - I can smell it already

You are probably smelling the Vitual B S Simulator that the Vapor Trail Pro 2 has built in. It can also mimic the smell of hot tubes so I have heard !

Ah, the Vapor Trail Pro 2. Isn't this the amp that takes your playing to a new "plane"? It's a improvement over the Vapor Trail 1 in that it enhances the "cloud" experience. I wonder if some of the models will sound "whispy".

I believe it's a thru neck design based on the Cirrus bass to continue the wispy theme ! As for electronics, that's a closely guarded secret but you can bet it will be able to model most instruments known to mankind in a multitude of tunings including a baritone Peruvian Nose-Flute !

On a serious note, I sincerely wish Peavey would bring out an oiled body thru neck 6 string guitar styled along similar lines to the Grind (or Cirrus) Bass - I love my Grind bass more than any other bass I've ever had my mitts round and truly wish a guitar version was available.

One of those was for sale on eBay UK a couple of months ago.
All you got was an empty box and instructions.
Bids had got up to around £10 before I lost interest and completely forgot about it so I don't honestly know what it finally went for.
No doubt another one will be up for grabs some other time.
It could turn out to be quite a little earner for someone !

Yep, the strange thing is that I've actually got an 'Air Guitar' (seriously) - that's the brand on the headstock!

I know this is a parody thread. I wasn't trying to be too cirrus. Even so, I bet it sounds good with a Stratus plugged into it. :D

I don't know when the vapor trail 2 will be available, but it looks like it will be before the vypyr pro 100. I also want to get a new air stratus when they become available, if there low enough.
