Gary Moore "still got the blues tone"

can anyone tell me how to get close to this tone on a Vypyr 15 ? Thanks

It may be helpful if you give some details on the guitar and pickups you are using.

Tubescreamer into plexi red with a neck humbucker. EQ to taste.

Sorry, I'm using a les Paul studio deluxe w/ humbuckers

I think he used a Marshall Blues Breaker amp and a Marshall Guv'nor pedal for the studio recording. But live on the DVD I have he uses a Soldano SLO with a Guv'nor. You can get close to that using the Vypyr 6505 green channel with the TubeScrm pedal. I did it awhile back but can't remember the settings. I'm thinking the mids were pretty high on the amp. Google his Soldano and Guv'nor settings and you'll get close with the 6505 green and TubeScrm.

And don't forget to use the neck pick up on your guitar. Gary switches briefly to the bridge pick up about 2/3 in to the song, but most is played with the neck pick up. Awesome tone!

Thanks So Much for the info, I think it sounds like a bluesbreaker or jim 45, will definitely give this a try, thanks again
