VSX26 use with older, classic Peavey amps and enclosures

Post by woofer2425 » Thu Oct 09, 2014 8:48 am

Just bought a VSX 26 for use in my personal PA system. In the sound chain is a Feedback Ferret 2, VSX26, available amps, DECA 700, DECA 1200, DPC1400x, Speakers are a pair of DTH2 and DTH118. My first thought is to bi-amp the system and using the passive crossover in the DTH2 and asking you for crossover points between the S2 and 118s and other preset info for the VSX26. Or we could triamp the system, and not use the internal passive crossovers in the S2. With the info and components given, what would you suggest and what preset could you set up for me for the VSX26. By the way I attended your Advanced Sound Reinforcement course 2 different times, about 12 years ago. I've forgotten a bunch...but I'm still dangerous at 58 years old! Thanks Marty!

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to learn to fish instead of giving me the fish. This will help more in the long run.
