Automation in C7.5

Post by marlboro » Fri Dec 19, 2014 2:09 pm

Hello everyone!

I downloaded revalver 4 demo to evaluate it and hopefully purchase it today or tomorrow. Im looking to get the producer pack. (Best Value).
However, I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to automate a switch... I can with a volume knob, but how do I turn on/off a switch??

I tried pressing the the "W" then play and the with the mouse I click on the button, (in this case to switch from clean to overdrive) and when I play it back with the "R" activated, the switch doesn't turn on/off. The knobs work fine though. Am I missing something??

Thanks!

Well thanks for the reply. I guess I wont buy it then. I was really lookin forward to be able to automate the switches on cubase. Like I said, the knobs are ok but not the switches or toggles. Anyway... I guess I'll stick with what I have.

Thanks again!

I'm pretty sure it will be fixed and won't always stay this way.

Yeah, it's such a shame not knowing when though. I was really looking forward to buy it.

Does anyone knows if this has been fixed? This is literally the only thing that stops me from buying it.

Yeah. It works now for me in Cubase and Studio One!
Just remember that you have to assign the stuff.

Edit: Actually forget what i just wrote, since i use a beta version. I don't know how it is with the version you download at revalver.peavey.com
Best is if you test it yourself, since it's free anyways.

I sincerely hope so as I really love the sound of revalver. I have The pod farm 2.5 from the pod x3 live I bought years ago, and use guitar rig from time to time, but the tone of revalver sound better to me. Anyway, I remember I opened a ticket a while a go, maybe January or the past December, and I sent a video that I recorded showing what I was trying to do. Can you confirm that this is indeed the feature that will be working?

Seems like a really minor glitch to stop you buying it, wouldnt you be better putting clean and distortion on different tracks ? Different EQ compression, side chain effects for different sounds etc

it is a minor glitch.. the thing is that when I record, I like to do it in one take, therefore I automate everything before recording and then I play it. Also because I record myself on video while I do that for my youtube channel and I find it too simple just to put 1 track clean and 1 track dist etc... In other words, i try to make as close to the real performance as possible (like live). Maybe is my own OCD but anyway... you have just performed inception on me LOL... I will seriously think about it now.

yeah bit of pita for your uses, been using the gig mode (standalone) and well impressed how it it can switch presets, with absolutely no clicks or pops, would be cool to see this feature as vst mode too.

checkout one of rafaels tubes, no other amp sim sounds this good imo https://youtu.be/jw-mV9yZz6k

yes indeed-ie, ain't it? I like how he shows his amps and stomps in his pre-sets. I've been noodling with what I see, especially since I have such a hard time getting good, clean sounds like what he did in that little segment... Mine doesn't sound as good, but I'm working on it... might have something to do with the weenie-noodle playing the guit-box here...
