And a fuzz pedal!
I've been asking Michael for that for years  ....but while we wait there are some 3rd party VST fuzz pedals out there.

Do you know of one with sustain, or just a sustain pedal?

My pleasure! 8) I worked closely with Eflam LeBivic, (Mokafix), for quite a while on his series of excellent fuzz/disto stomps
before NI hired him. Unfortunately most are no longer out there but the a couple of the free ones can still be found:

I don't know of any direct sustainer stompbox emulations but there are a few feedback plugins that might
get you in the ballpark:

It's been a while since I played with Concrete FX QAmp.....it does the sustain/feedback trick, (and few others), pretty well.
That reminded me of a few of their others.....Flaser & Chimecho are pretty cool for spacey psychedelic stuff. Concrete
closed their doors last year but all their plugs are archived here:

I'll have to give that one a try. Right now I'm just using the Michael amp..pretty good sustain there.

Yup....it's one of his finest. I also love that ReValver can host 3rd party VST's internally......that was my idea BTW......

Thanks that's a good idea everyone can find equivalents of there favorite pedals in Amplitube and post the vst address that way while Peavey may not have as large of selection the interesting vst's out there effects more of us can no what's out there. I like Revalver 4 a lot and I think it is easier to use than Amplitube.

I agree but it's also much more tweakable than Amplitube as well!!

I can't use Amplitube any more, it has a plastic quality to me now. I tried even just using the pedals I have inside Revalver and I think Revalver pedals are much better.

The thing I like the most about Revalver 4 is how it responds to the volume control on the guitar. When backed off it gives a very good approximation of how a real tube amp behaves in terms of "cleaning up", not just reducing the volume and retaining the same level of distortion as most of RV4's rivals seem to do.
I seriously would consider using RV4 in a live situation if I were still playing in a band. I know I would feel a little naked with a MIDI controlled lap-top going straight into the PA instead of my usual pile of large black Marshall boxes I've had for company for the last 35 years but I seriously rate the sound quality and controlability of RV4 that highly !
I've probably just committed rock'n'roll sacrilege to even think such a thing, especially for a dyed-in-the-wool heavy metal playing English former Marshall tube head but progress can sometimes be a little hard to swallow at first. The tube amp is really, when all is said and done, just a tool to get the job done.
Sometimes however the job requires somewhat more finesse than can be achieved with a flint axe !

ReValver will never make everyone happy with amp and effect's, everyone wants different.
Just look at the POD HD the masses wanted a 5150, (now they get it) and with certain other Sims some want to have fairly unknown brands.
Maybe in 2 years from now we have 350 Amps and 700 effects, and still some want some thats not there (How many combinations of Amps,Cabs, effect can we try out)

Why would anyone have remorse about buying this? :D

Just wanted to post, I have been doing another try to get something heavy the way I like it, and I stumbled on something I like. It's a mic position way more to the side of the speaker than I normally like (I like pretty bright tones) but since it's off axis pointed inwards it still has a lot of clarity, and then daring to turn some of the knobs on the Herr Demon pretty far (how the mid and treble knobs are set I normally would never do it, but I closed my eyes and just turned till it sounded like I wanted and never looked back).

So I got a tone (without booster pedal) out of the herbert I wanted and liked and was greatly impressed. With the same cab / mic selection I went through the 6505, Flathill and Angel.. and once again the Flathill showed troubles. The 'vintage' button mode sounded OK, but I still think that is because it's the mode where the presence actually works :(.

The Angel sounded quite mid heavy, but that is kinda the character with the ENGL amps as far as I know.

Since I normally mic my cabs by placing a mic close-but-not-directly-on the center of the speaker, I never tried the more outer mic positions in Revalver. My bad, some of the outer positions sound more bright and defined than the inner positions (!?!?!, whatever, it sounds ok :P).

I'm also quite surprised at the sound difference between the topleft speaker and the bottomright speaker of the same cab. Is that because the room / floor wasn't treated during sampling? My 4x12's are always slightly off the ground during recording and I never encountered such a different between different speakers (but the same model of speaker) in the same cab.

So, 1) I said that I didn't use Revalver that much since I didn't get the tones (quickly) that I wanted.. that might be still true, but this proves that the tones are there inside of it, you just have to poke a little harder. Now I know some more sweet spots in RIR2 that I like a lof of the amps 'opened up' to me and I use Revalver more.
2) There is some weird stuff in some of the RIR2 responses, but like I said, whatever. It's about the sound I get out of it, not how correct it is
3) The Flathill is still bugged / broken.

Again, what is bugged or broken there?
I haven't used it much lately.
