Musical retail experts honored Peavey Electronics® with multiple awards at the 2014 NAMM tradeshow. Across several product categories, Peavey was recognized as an industry leader.
Peavey founder and CEO Hartley Peavey comments, “At Peavey, our goal is to develop innovative products that are held to the highest production standards, but remain at a price accessible to today’s working musicians and audio professionals. We work by these principles every day, and to be recognized by our peers within the industry is an honor.”
Peavey was named a “Company to Watch” award-winner during ‘Best in Show,’ the popular panel discussion at NAMM University that highlights some of the most acclaimed gear and companies on display at NAMM. As a “Company to Watch,” Peavey is recognized as an exhibitor with trendsetting products or services.
Best in Show panel member Donovan Bankhead called Peavey “a great American company,” and discussed Peavey’s new MiniMega™ bass head. “It’s a great product at a wonderful price point,” Bankhead shared. “And one of the coolest things is the front panel. Not only does it light up, but it lights up in multiple different colors. It’s a sure-fire attention-getter in your stores.”
Notable bass publication Bass Gear Magazine also recognized Peavey’s new MiniMega bass head, naming it “Best of Show.” The MiniMega delivers 1,000 Watts of the classic tone for which Peavey is known, while producing incredibly full and rich sound in a compact package. Weighing in at only 8 lbs., the MiniMega is the new go-to amplifier for bassists of any style.
For the fourth year in a row, Peavey received the Sound Reinforcement Line of the Year Award in Musical Merchandise Review (MMR) magazine’s annual Dealers’ Choice Awards. This was the second year that the award was given to Peavey’s entire line of sound reinforcement products including the new Escort® series of portable sound reinforcement systems, the best-selling SP™ Series loudspeakers, and the innovative Versarray™ professional line-array system.
Peavey was also named “Best Musical Product 2013” in the African Product Awards, presented by the Institute for Government Research & Leadership Technology. This educational organization is charged with encouraging expansion and product innovation opportunities between the African community and businesses around the globe.
