Classic® 20 MH Mini Amp Head
review title:

It's more than loud enough, light and easy to load in the trunk.

Overall What is your opinion of this product? I use this amp one of three different ways. I have a 4x10 Peavey cabinet at home. I have a custom made 2x10 slant top at a buddies studio and at church I use the DI out. All three give great tube tone especially when set to the one watt setting and cranked all the way up. At the one watt setting it's loud enough for everything but a heavey handed drummer. Then just set it to 5 or 20 (loud) watts. Plus it has a drive channel so if you really need cranked tone, set both drive and volume at 10 in the one watt mode and you can get feedback and pinch harmonics without a pedal.

Good amp for home practice but came with a bad tube.

What is your opinion of this product? Purchased in early 2022. I had to replace the V1 tube as it was producing the most horrible gain sound and I couldn't get any crunch from either channel at all. I swapped out the V1 factory installed Tung Sol with a TAD 7025 WA highgrade. Like night and day. Even the clean channel now sounds more organic and punchy. Now I can use the gain channel and get the expected tone from the amp. Poor quality control at the factory? Who is selecting the tubes? They used to be Ruby but are now Tung Sol. Although Tung Sol are great too if they are checked and tested. USB recording is not great. Best to use a cab and mic it up for recording! Reverb (to my taste) is horrible and unuseable. It trails off with some weird digital swirly artifacts that sound nothing like a spring verb. Just leave it off and buy a good pedal to suit your own taste.
