Volunteer-Proof

Overall What is your opinion of this product? I have installed the Aureus in two small churches. I love it. It is simple, yet allows me to dig deeper to do some fine-tuning. Most small churches do not have an audio-savvy person. This mixer gets them into a digital mixer and its power without breaking the bank. Once it is set up anybody can run audio. The preamps are clean, effect sound good, EQ and Graphic EQ work well. Plus, saving EQs and channels in the library mean the church can pull something back up if it gets messed up. They can always pull back up the original scene setting to start a new one and know it will work. The only complaint is the inability to assign a different input to a channel. But, oh well, the Yamaha TF series has the same problem for twice the price. It truly has "Everything you need and nothing you don't." It is Volunteer-Proof!

Has potential to be perfect, but has well known factory issues

What is your opinion of this product? It is a good mixer but it has an annoying issue whereby channels constantly lose connection to the main outputs. And it also sometimes freezes during live performances. It also lacks matrices meaning you have to create a different bus mix for every output. It could be a perfect mixer if these issues can be fixed

What is your opinion of this product? Easiest digital mixer I’ve used. Super user friendly. Sounds fantastic as well. Love the graphic eq on the mains and the effects actually sound really good. Can’t go wrong for the price. Amazing compact digital mixer!!

What is your opinion of this product? It's a beautiful mixer! everything is handy, fast to set up, you can save your own channel presets, Eq presets and Scenes. The WIFI remote is awesome I can walk waaay back to the club and control everything! some times I'll do it in the kitchen, I saw other guys with their apps on the tablets and they don't have the same rage as mine, and they have to connect a wi-fi router. Plus with this mixer it's not a problem if you forgot your tablet or is uncharged, just get the ip address on your phone and booom! get to work! another plus! 10 more people can control it as well at the same time! you just assign a password for everyone, that way they can control their own bus! Every channel has it's own Parametric Eq and bus channels and main has Graphic Eq is really a great mixer once you know how to handle it. I love it! Just, I wish it will be able to integrate to my DAW. then! I'll be happily ever after!

Great mixer for the money.

What is your opinion of this product? Great mixer for the money. They only real drawbacks I see are that it lacks the ability to use a digital stage box, and there is no real-time frequency spectrum monitoring when adjusting the graphic eq. Maybe that’s something that could be added in an update.

An impressive mixing console of its kind.

What is your opinion of this product? This unique mixing console outshines in its fast GUI, individual musician assignable mixe Busses with individual remote controls (secure WiFi Hotspot and LAN), and playback (Bluetooth) access to the mixer without having to download any APP on your device. Multiple operations of channel GAIN and PAN, simultaneous layer operation with multiple faders control onboard and on the tablet/Andriod devices. An immediate glance of channels Gain, EQ, Comp, Gate, Pan, Effect, and Busses. The EQ is lovely in its spice.

An outstanding feature-packed yet easy to use digital mixer!

What is your opinion of this product? I have experience with five other digital mixers across four brands, and the Aureus is hands-down the best I have used. The 10-inch screen is top-quality - using it feels as though you are using a high-end tablet. Touch sensitivity is perfect, and the screen responds instantly and smoothly. Encoder knobs and the large parameter knob make changes quick and accurate. Or touch a feature and drag on the screen to make changes. Unlike many other mixers, in the Aureus, all 16 primary inputs are combo 1/4" / XLR. In addition, stereo inputs 17/18, 19/20, and 21/22 have a "mono" feature allowing you to plug in to only one of the paired inputs, and have that input routed to both left and right main outputs. In addition to using this for cover bands in varoius configurations, I also use it to support outdoor worship at our church, and the instrument and vocal lineup can vary tremendously week-to-week. The combo and stereo-to-mono input options make channel / cable assignments on the fly so much easier to manage, as do stock and user-defined presets for vocals and instruments. Fit and finish is to Peavey's usual high standards. Motorized faders, physical buttons, and encoder knobs all feel rock-solid. Wireless access is straightforward and simple, and it is really nice to be able to use any HTML-5 compatible browser as opposed to a dedicated app. The tablet slot on the mixer is a nice touch for dual-screen monitoring, and remote access allows other devices to be used for controlling front-of-house and individual monitor mix busses. Effects are of good quality and easy to assign and dial in. Peavey has made it simple and fast to create and access mute groups, and to mute / unmute effects. The "all mute" button is handy at the end of a service or gig - no more pops from premature cable disconnects. Saving scenes and prests is straightforward, and recall is fast. Kudos to Peavey for an outstanding product!
