Summer NAMM: Peavey PR Series Now Even Lighter With NEO Magnets

AUSTIN, Texas (Summer 2006 NAMM exhibit #1746) — Peavey has made its lightweight PR enclosures even lighter and more efficient by upgrading to neodymium magnets.The PR Series delivers superior sound quality by utilizing the most advanced materials, such as a lightweight, road-worthy molded polypropylene enclosure that will endure years of load in/load out abuse. Now outfitted with efficient, lightweight neodymium magnets, the Peavey PR Series ranges from 47 lbs. on the powered PR 15P to a mere 20 lbs. on the PR 10.The PR Series utilizes a 1.4' RX14 titanium diaphragm with high-frequency tweeter protection and 1' exit for crisp, clear highs, as well as a 2 3/8' voice coil woofer, a heavy duty crossover for reliable operation at higher power levels and a constant directivity horn with consistent sound distribution. Powered PR Series models are bi-amplified with 270 watts peak dynamic output, three input channels with level controls and built-in DDT anti-clipping speaker protection.The PR Series includes the PR 15 and 15P; PR 12 and 12P; PR 10 and 10P; and PR Sub, all made in the U.S.A.
