Employees Go Red With American Heart Association
PEAVEY INT'L. HEADQUARTERS Hundreds of Peavey Electronics employees joined the American Heart Association on its national Wear Red Day to increase awareness of heart disease, the No. 1 killer of women.
The national Wear Red Day is an opportunity for everyone to take charge of their hearts and health, said Mary Peavey, President of Peavey Electronics. Peavey is partnering with the American Heart Association on Wear Red Day to encourage healthy living in our community and beyond.
Wear Red Day is part of the American Heart Association's Go Red For Women campaign, which provides tips and information on healthy eating, exercise and heart disease risk-factor reduction, such as smoking cessation, weight maintenance, blood pressure control and blood cholesterol management.
Jennifer Walton, Regional Director of the American Heart Association, said, Peavey Electronics and companies across the nation are putting their passion into action by participating in the Wear Red Day campaign, helping to heighten awareness and bring forth positive change to defeat this major health threat.
