Peavey Presents 'Pay It Forward' Youth DJ Event at 2019 DJ Expo

DJing is an art form with a rich history, which is why its important to respect the past and to pay it forward to the next generation of talent. At the 2019 DJ Expo, Peavey Electronics will proudly present Pay It Forward: Teaching Kids and Beginners How to DJ. This hour-long youth-focused event will take place Aug. 12 from 5:00-6:00 p.m. in Room 24 of Harrahs Resort and will be led by DJ Neeek Nyce, DJ Throdown, and DJ Greggie C.

Vernique Fields, aka DJ Neeek Nyce, is the founder and owner of Into Fields Live Entertainment, the first female DJ company in the tri-state area. Beyond her personal passion for music, DJ Neeek Nyce enjoys mentoring and teaching the craft of DJing to youth. She is the creator of the International Kidz DJ Café, a youth program supported by the Philadelphia Parks and Recreation.

With more than 25 years experience, DJ Greggie C knows how to deliver a party-rocking set. He is not only a highly sought-after wedding disc jockey, but has also trained hundreds of other DJs across the U.S. He has performed and emceed events for Fortune 500 companies and professional sports organizations.

DJ Throdown as quickly risen through the ranks of the DMC events. While winning three regional titles, he is now the 2018 DMC USA Champion and has his sights on the upcoming world title. When he is not battling it out for supremacy, he can be found teaching at Beats Refinery.

DJ Neeek Nyce, Dj Throdown, and DJ Greggie C will share their stories about getting started in the industry and the mentorship they received along their journey. Its their way of paying it forward in hopes of inspiring young DJs to pursue their passions.

Peavey has been a longtime sponsor of the annual DJ Expo, produced by DJ Times magazine and its publisher, Testa Communications. Now in its 30th year, DJ Expo remains Americas longest-running and most successful DJ conference/exhibition and is expected to draw more than 5,000 professional DJs of various influences from Aug. 12-15 at Harrahs Resort in Atlantic City. This year, Peaveys youth-focused programs, including a youth showcase on Tues. Aug. 13 at booth #507, will help to ensure that DJ Expo continues to foster rising talent.
