Works great! EQ board is a bit finicky
Overall

What is your opinion of this product?

I work for an organization with 3 of these systems scattered across Canada for presentations. They work great! Very Loud and easy to setup! However, the EQ presets can be a bit lacking. I would love to see 2 mid-level EQs. This would make presenter switching easier to manage. Of the three we own, our oldest one had the board go after a couple years of use. I estimate it has been used about 200 times. It seems as if a surge or bad power may be the cause. I suspect a basic board power supply is being used, but it should be a bit better because after all you are always going to be switching locations with a system as this. We have the newest system still working, but the knobs to adjust gains are a bit annoying and would prefer sliders. Yet, the pros outweigh the cons! very portable, reliable, and loud! I recommend anyone buying a system such as this to have some kind of UPS to protect the board as you move from location to location. Would recommend to anyone who is mobile and looking to talk in classrooms to auditoriums. Best thing is knowing what audio equipment you have, and being able to setup a system you know and have it running is better than fiddling with a church sound system you don't know!

I love this Escort PA system.

What is your opinion of this product?

My Peavey Escort is the greatest little PA system that I've ever had. Is there a way to add an effects into this Escort PA because there is no input. What can I do to create an input on this system ?

Subject: Intermittent non stereo output
Discussion: I have my iPad plugged into 1/4 adaptor Jack on board. From phone is 3.5 stereo to adaptor. On certain songs, I only get one one side of the recorded song. Speaker output is fine. This issue relates to the tune itself. For example, I’ll get the vocal loud and clear, but can’t get the guitar solo. Again, speaker output is fine. If the 3000 is a mono system, and I’m using stereo 3.5 jacks, would that cause this issue? What can I do to make sure I get both sides of song? Willing to go all mono if that solves the problem. Does any of that make sense? Thx Dave Peavey Response: This could be an issue is to how the tracks were recorded or ripped to MP3. The Escort 3000 has a stereo input on this but it will sum both left and right signals into one mono signal on the output.

Subject: Playing back music via iphone/ipad using the usb jack
Discussion: I have tried to utilize the USB jack to play back music from my IPhone. I have tried to play music off of phone and play Pandora but I get an error message on the Escort screen. Peavey Response: For connecting an MP3 player or smartphone with media playback use the 3.5mm stereo connector. For media playback using an MP3 player, smartphone, or other similar device make sure the button stays in the raised position. Connect using a stereo 3.5mm cable mentioned previously and use the source device for playback controls. When a device is connected to the 3.5mm jack the RCA jacks are automatically disabled. For MP3 or audio file playback from a USB memory stick, make sure the button is in the down position (Fig.16) so the USB plug is active.

Subject: Lap Top Interface
Discussion: Can the USB port interface with a lap-top where I can play a music file from my lap-top through sound system? If not, do you have any audio system or interface that would permit this to occur? Peavey Response: Yes. You can use a USB cable, 3.5mm stereo connector or RCA cables.
