I can think of at least two ways this helps out musicians greatly. The first obvious thing is when you focus on your playing in the recording, you can hear your mistakes or the areas that 'need improvement.'

But the second thing, which I think is less obvious, is you can hear what the other people are doing and analyze your playing in relation to what the other musicians are doing. Not as easy to do 'live' without some playing experience, in my opinion.

For example, if you hear the other guitar player playing the same chord positions you are, think about what you could play instead, or if you hear the bass player put in a little riff can you do something that sounds cool with it? It gives you the ability to focus on what the others are doing and to think about what you can do to make it better.

Thanks Dinoj and Scott. It was a fun show.

We used a Zoom Q3hd video cam. The video is ok, the audio is great.

Those little boxes are amazing!

The audio sounded like it was coming straight from the mixing board. It was really good!

I'm just learning how to use my new Tascam 2488 Neo. I've been using Tascam products since the late 1980s when I got my first 4 track. Since then, I have cycled through the various digital 8 tracks and now have the 24 track.

At some point I would like to record on a laptop and use the Revalver software but I will need a much better laptop to do so. For now it's nice to have my computer stuff and recording stuff separate.

i do record my music sessions and then upload them on fb. I just my phone to record my practice and then use AirMore app (use to transfer files between phone and PC wirelessly) to transfer it on PC so that I can do a little editing and then post it on social media sites.

I always connect my Vypyr PRO via USB to my Laptop (Linux O.S., Fedora), I constantly record sessions. Here is an example. Bye.
