PRM 308S - Foamy issues

Post by Jens Droessler » Tue Feb 14, 2017 4:54 pm

Hi there!

I don't know where this would fit, since AMR isn't listed in the forums. I have a pair of PRM 308S. They worked fine for years, but now both foam surrounds of the woofers got torn. Also, the foam around the mids/tweeters just fell apart. Any ideas where I can get new woofers and new foam?

I have had good luck with speaker parts from :

https://reconingspeakers.com

I would contact them for help on your issue.

So, no help from any Peavey staff members? That's sad. They are nice speakers, they don't deserve to go to the trash.

If I had those, I would try this

http://www.foambymail.com/SFF-/speaker- ... 0-ppi.html

It appears that foam is around the mid and hi freq driver to cut down of reflections forms edges. This type of foam should do the ticket. You may get them to cut the foam for you.
