Which Peavey Amp do you have
Re: Which Peavey Amp do you have
I have a Peavey 3120 full stack, and a Penta Full stack and the new Valveking II 50. Love all three. I play with a cover band that does everything from Michael Jackson to Judas Priest and versatility is most important. I use a Boss GT-10 as well as a Fulldive II Mosfet and I only use the very hot, clean sound of the Penta and Valveking II, for most material, the 3120 high gain for the heavey stuff and consistently get an amazing amount of praise from other musicians about my tone! Peavey rocks. I started using their amps exclusively when I got to meet the Van Zants in the mid 70s and have never looked back. I have tried several Marshalls, voxs, and Fenders through the years but...............enough said! The compliments always come from musicians who have spent way more that they needed to, only for acknowledgement and not personal satisfaction! Peavey, an American company who continues to lead the pack, imho, destroys the British False Legacy thinking! 38 Specials Jeff Carlisi used the Studio: Peavey Mace VT series and Gary Rossington used the old mase heads before switching to the Pentas. In my Humble opinion, nothing beats the punch of a Peavey tube amp clean channel. I will go to my grave denying the british! LOL

I have a VTM 60, and a VTM 120, both powerful tube amps from the 80's, single channel heads. One of the best amps ever made.

Sold my

Bought a C30 head
Had it three days now
Don't know if I love it yet.
Questions:
Does the quality of the V2 have a pronounced effect on the reverb?
What does V3 do?

To be stereo would require two independent input signals and two independent output signals.Rob22315 wrote:I have three of these and love them. I run two Ina master/slave configuration so I get stereo.Lacking Talent wrote:.
Master/slave, daisy chain, and Y splits are not actually stereo.
Re: Which Peavey Amp do you have
False, partly. The reverb, delay, chorus etc effects generate a pseudo-stereo signal in the preamp of each T-112. Using one preamp to drive two power stages in two T-112s gives you that pseudo-stereo effect. You need to use midi between the two preamps because the amp modeling alters the power stages too. I posted a bunch of threads about setting this up and getting the midi settings right with some help from the designer, midiman.tele twister wrote:To be stereo would require two independent input signals and two independent output signals.Rob22315 wrote:I have three of these and love them. BTW, in the 2.0 chip, you can alter the stereo separation for the delay effect in the tweaks.

I have to say I really love the natural growl of the Sensation 20 a bit more than the Masterpiece. They both are amazing. I was told the sensation was originally made for Carrie Underwood's guitarist so it has a fricken magic mojo. Got it used off the Guitar Center site. Great find. Congrats on having a pair yourself! I just picked up a Kollmanation pedal handmade by Tim Jauernig a few days ago and can't wait to try it out on the Masterpiece.

I have a VYPYR30 and VYPYR VIP 2 for practice and some acoustic gigs. And 2 VTM 120 half stacks. My fave amps ever. I've had people ask me if I was really using those amps or if there was something off stage. Huh? Yes, these are my amps. No F/X. Only a TG RAXX pre amp and an old chorus pedal. And that is used to simply split my signal to the VTMs.
