Which Peavey Amp do you have
Re: Which Peavey Amp do you have
I know I'm on here somewhere but I have another one to add to the fold.
Re: Which Peavey Amp do you have
Just got a 1986 Special 130 last week on CL at a good price. Amazing power and clarity. Had my guy do a little service, also replaced the speaker with the Swamp Thang, and it really sings now.

Re: Which Peavey Amp do you have
Right now I have four Peavey amps.
1. Ranger 212
2. Nashville 400
3. Renown 400
4. Silver Stripe Bandit w/matching speaker cab.
I also own several vintage and not so vintage Fender amps as well. But, my Peaveys are the ones I gig with mostly these days.
Also, I own a lot of Peavey PA gear. Peavey has never let me down.
Previous; Several Special 130's, Special 150, Special 112, Special 112 Wedge, Session 500, Stereo Chorus 400, Audition 20, Bravo 112, C50 212, Studio Chorus 70, Backstage 30, Artist VT Series 115, and a few others that I can't recall the names of right now.

Re: Which Peavey Amp do you have
I currently have 2.
A 1995-era Classic 30, and a 50-watt Solo Series Bandit, which is chassis and reverb tank mounted inside a big Line 6 12" combo cab. Both are great amps.
I have owned and sold a Bandit 65, and an 80's Studio Pro.

Re: Which Peavey Amp do you have
I have a JSX and a 6505+ and 2 412MS cabs.
Re: Which Peavey Amp do you have
I have a new to me early 2000's Peavey Classic 50 410 that has replaced a Vox AV50XT modeling amp.
Used to have a Peavey Studio 112 and a 1x12 ext cab - that was sweet but no reverb.
Also had a Peavey Viper 30 for a short time.

Re: Which Peavey Amp do you have
I just ordered my first Peavey amp, the 6505+ Head.
Unfortunately it is on back order so hopefully I get it sooner than later!
I will be running through my old Behringer BG412s stack for a month.
When I get my next week off I will be dragging my new head to every guitar store around Toronto until I find a cab I love.
I've been using all digital rigs as long as I've been playing guitar. I'm really excited for my first real amp!

That 2x12 cabinet is made here in Brazil by JaoVox. They sell them loaded or not. I ordered without their logo, anyway. It has two old Hartke speakers from '80. These speakers are a special run for guitar and Hartke just made about 150 4x12 cabinets for guitar at the time loaded with these special speakers. I own one, I found it in England...So I bought the JaoVox 2x12 "empty", took off two speakers from the Hartke 4x12 and replace them with two new Eminences.
These speakers were made for Hartke by Celestion, follow what Larry Hartke himself told me few years ago. They got the same design and materials of the V30 model, with no Celestion label on the back. In fact, they sound fantastic!
This 2x12 cabinet I do use manly for silent recording with IR with my PVs amps. That's why it is at my bedroom. I still got the Hartke 4x12 (now loaded with 2 original speakers + two Eminences).
If you google it maybe you still can find some info about it. It is made like a tank! Very very thick.
Hartke 4x12 Guitar Module XL Series. They are the straight model, with black metal grill and carpet cover. Oh, yeah, the original speaker look comes with that "aluminum" style cone , but I replaced them. Here I found some pics. Just scroll down the page.

So my 2x12 JaoVox has these speakers.
