Peavey Triumph 60 Combo
Peavey Triumph 60 Combo
I just bought a Triumph 60 combo for what i thought was a good deal, but I do not have the footswitch. I understand that it blows a fuse without one, but is there an amount of time before it blows, or is it instant? Also, is there a good place i can get a compatible footswitch? Ebay has sellers asking $85 for one and I just do not have that right now.
Re: Peavey Triumph 60 Combo
No, it does not blow a fuse without one.
The fuse issue is this. If you power on the amp and THEN try to plug in the foot switch, most people rotate the plug until it drops into the hole. But the little pins touch as you do this, and of course since you are rotating it, they touch the wrong stuff, which blows that fuse. The secret solution is simple: ALWAYS plug the foot switch in before turning on the amp.

Thanks for explaining that. I guess I'll just have to save up for the switch unless there's other models that would be compatible for cheaper, either from peavey or other manufacturers.
Re: Peavey Triumph 60 Combo
The schematic for it is part of the amp schematic, so you could build one if you like.
Re: Peavey Triumph 60 Combo
I just have a hard time finding the 6 pin DIN for a halfway decent price. And I have absolutely no experience looking at schematics and translating them.

There's a forum post where someone converted a Special 212 footswitch: https://peavey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=45551
