Hi Forum:
I'm looking to get a 1x12 speaker cab and am leaning toward the Celestion Greenback over the V30 (I play mostly rock/metal) - which leads me to the Peavey 112-6. I've also looked at the 440 Live 1x12 but don't know much about that company.
I'm not seeing much in terms of users reviews for the Peavey cab and was wondering if any of you have the cab and can comment on it? I like that it comes with the Greenback and has the option for closed or open back and is reasonably priced at $299. I'm going to pair it with a Laney IRT Studio (on order) so the 25 watt speaker is fine. I'll use the 1x12 for home and if I end up gigging I'll get another 1x12 and add a second jack in parallel for a 2x12 8ohm load.
Thoughts? Thanks all!
Bob

You should play through or listen to as many examples as you can.
If you are anywhere near mid-Michigan, I have a 1x12 cab I need to off. A Seymour Duncan 1x12 open back, I put a heavy Eminence 12 in it, NOS, the same speaker Peavey used in the MAce. PM if that is interesting.

Thanks for the reply, Enzo.
I've played through a few cabs and listened to a bunch of recordings - which is how I decided on the Greenback. I've narrowed down my search to the Peavey and 440 live - neither of which are in any local stores for me to try.
Thanks,
Bob
