Quick question - BUDDA Super Drive 80 II HEAD - How should I connect to my cab?

Post by di0h » Sun Jun 18, 2017 12:52 pm

Hello Folks!

Can you please give me some info?
So I just bought a BUDDA super drive 80 II Head.
The manual is not clear (and doesn't give any example of connection). Just states the obvious: "use correct impedance"; "connect it properly to the speakers". Couldn't find any further info about it searching the web as well.
I have a HB 212 V30's cab (pics below).

- How should I properly connect the SD80 to my speakers?
- How many cables should I use?
- Should I use both outputs?
- Should I set my cab to Stereo or mono?
- Also, when turned ON, it has some kind of engine sound inside. Does it has a cooler running or something?

Thanks in advance.

SImple.

In the speaker it says 8 ohm mono. Use the jack on that side, and switch set to mono/8 ohm

The two jacks in the amp are wired together. Pick one or the other. Set the impedance switch to match your cab - in this case 8 ohm.

Now plug a speaker cord from one of the amp jacks to the 8 ohm jack on the speaker. Use a real speaker cord, not just a guitar cord.

Thank you!

I'll be using 1x 8ohm budda out - > 1x 8ohm in the cab (set to mono)

Cheers
