Year of Deuce

Post by docjr88 » Thu Jul 27, 2017 10:09 pm

Just bought a vintage Deuce amp but can't find serial number. There is a random number under footswitch plug but does not have two digit in front, and numbers on speakers are 67-7639

I never care about age, condition is what matters to me, but those speakers were made by Eminence in autumn 1976

Thank you, only reason I was concerned about age is there seems to be variations of this amp and wanted to know incase it needs work. Tubes are all new but the rest of it is all original.

Deuce A and Deuce B are best determined from schematics anyway. Get them from customer service. I was an authorized service center for 30 years, and I have no idea which version came out which years, I just determined which I was looking at when it came up. Deuce VT was later and had the ICs in the preamp, the A and B had transistor preamps.
