Did Peavey ever make a Transtube power amp? I am completely infatuated with the power section of my Bandit 1x12, which I use by going into the "effects return" to power my pedalboard (which has a preamp pedal). It is the best-sounding power section I've ever used on an amp, and that spans a long list. I use my Fender Champ 25SE (6l6 power section) in the same way, by going to the effects return... and the peavey just kills it for tone quality. Whatever they did in the power sections of these amps. they got it right.
Did peavey ever make a rackmount power amp based on the transtube technology?
If not, I think I may be on the lookout for another one to re-house into a small head. I've noticed that the bandts have a presence and "power" control on the power section that other transtube series amps don't have. Are those amps' power sections inferior or are they still using the transtube power amp circuitry?
Thanks for any input.

Re: Transtube Power Amp?
Hi, and Welcome to the forum
I guess you can tell I never went any where for the summer!
I have the Peavey XXL head transtube technology.
To me its very similar if not the same in some regards as the Bandit, in tone and features.
Super, Super Great Amp! Mine is old, tired sounding, and scratch pots etc... yet I still use it as a power amp (the return of the effects loop) in
my wet / dry rig.
I don't know much about the tech side of the transtube technology, yet I do agree with you they got it right!
I have never seen a rackmount version.
Here is some clips of the Bandit: https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/Bandit112

Re: Transtube Power Amp?
Power amps are mostly transparent, the main difference between amps being the speaker used.
