Megabass Head - BiAmp Crossover Point?

Post by netrecce » Sun May 21, 2017 12:58 pm

Hi Guys,

Can anyone suggest an initial bi-amp crossover point for a Megabass Head (early '90s)? It will play thru a 4x10TX + 115BX stack. I'm setting this rig up as backline gear in a small hall.

Thanks.

I would set it by ear, there is no "wrong" setting.

Enzo,

Yeah... but I'm hoping for some "experienced" advice on this dual-amp Megabass head.

I love this head. Two separately controlled powered amps; Bi-Amp with internal variable crossover... or run full range. All the input and preamp features a player needs. And all the output features a sound guy could ask for. Plus, it's built like a tank in typical vintage Peavey fashion. Way cool...
