TKO-80 Bass amp

Post by Fbksdanno » Tue Aug 08, 2017 10:54 pm

Before I dismantle my amp to see if I've indeed blown the fuse, can anyone tell me exactly where it is located?

Thanks, a peavey customer and supporter for 25 years

So I dismantled the amplifier and I see three fuses and none of them are blown. Are there more than 3? The amp works but only if I plug my bass into the PWR in Patch module. Amp worked fine 2 days ago, which is why my first assumption was a blown fuse. Any suggestions or thoughts are greatly appreciated.

Nope, those are the only three. But if you had mentioned it worked part way at first, we would already know the fuses are OK.

Patch a cord from preamp out to power amp in jacks. Does it make sound now?

Does plugging bass into the FX return jack make sound?

You problem lies in the preamp somewhere. Those jacks are the most likely place, otherwise we trace the signal through the circuit to see where it disappears.
