4 screw vs 6 screw bridge on predator

Post by Bjeffdennis61 » Fri Apr 21, 2017 7:22 am

I understand that there is a 4 screw and 6 screw Bridge Assembly on the predator are these after market bridges or does this indicate foreign-made bodies with American-made neck?

Welcome Bjeffdennis61!

My semi-educated guess is this;
The bodies and necks of all '80s, and most '90s Peaveys, were USA made, but the hardware was imported from Asia.
The 4 screw Powerbend was stock on USA tremolo models (however some other models had a USA made Kahler), until the International Series came out in the late '90s.
These were Asian made bodies and necks, but with a 6 screw tremolo, maybe because a copyright ran out, or something, IDK.
