#173 Peavey Limited -what an awesome guitar.
And an early 90's USA Predator with HSS and turbo switch. Sea foam green. Both in excellent shape. Good deals too. Love these things. Just beautiful. Thought I'd share...

Like 'em both. Is the turbo switch as bad as people report?

No, I like it. No matter where I have the 5-way set, slap down the turbo and it screams. Plus in the middle setting it adds the humbucker to whatever else I have going. It's probably not something I'd have ever thought I needed, but it's kinda cool. Ask me in a month when the novelty wears off. Lol

Re: New Peavey gems
Congrats!
Your Pred looks like a Predator AX, but with a maple fingerboard.
I'm curious, does it say AX, or JX on the headstock?
These were the top of the Predator line.
The Peavey logo, and truss rod hole appear to be '93-'95ish.
Here's the manual for the Predator AX; https://assets.peavey.com/literature/ma ... 301762.pdf

Re: New Peavey gems
Thanks for the link to the manual! It actually just says Predator. No other letter designation. Is that odd? The only other writing is "crafted in the USA". Not handcrafted. Which tells me your estimation of the year made is probably spot on. This one of the coolest Peaveys I own now. Something about how it plays, sounds and feels. Thanks again!tele twister wrote:Congrats!
