Post by miltosm » Thu Sep 14, 2017 11:20 am

Hi there,

Is there any way for someone to buy the Antares Pack for AT-200? This is the link:

https://transactions.antarestech.com/at ... ducts.aspx

All packs are discontinued. Any ideas?

I doubt it, Antares for Guitar sent email to people (at least i got an email) who registered owning Peavey AT200 that the antares product pack for AT200 was to be discontinued by Aug 31, 2017, price for antares feature packs are discounted..

http://www.antarestech.com/email/2017Ar ... ation.html

There is a link to file a ticket for owner of feature pack.. not sure if you can use it to purchase them thou.

The AT200 is a sub par guitar with ok hardware, piezo system used is sensitive to adjustment.. there is little to no choice in upgrading the hardtail bridge since the piezo is connected to the saddle (those are sensitive and thorough diligence care is needed when adjusting them, do it wrong and the saddle will cease to work).. needless to say I upgraded tuners to Planetwave auto-trim locking tuners (they are direct drop-in) there are probably better tuners like Grover or Gotoh but I settle with them and they work fine.. had Jescar EVO gold frets installed.

The latest firmware and complete pack version: AT200 software v2.27 and complete pack v3.32.. I don't use the guitar often enough to say how good/poor it sound, the capo and string tune feature are great.. my strings are close to perfect tune so I don't get the weird feeling like my strings sound out of tune acoustically but perfect tune thru amp speaker.. still trying to figure how to access all the guitar models.. have many guitars so I don't get to play it much..

Hi there psp742,

I would like to thank you for your answer. When the Antares support is over, I guess that the sounds will be still available to use them, right?

I send a ticket to Antares, but no luck so far.

Sorry late post.. Antares replied to my inquiry regarding backing up the AT200 v2.27 firmware and complete pack v3.32..

Here is the reply from Antares Tech<br/>
"Hi,

The software cannot be backed up as it lives on the guitar. As long as the software is on the guitar, you have nothing to worry about. The software is absolutely safe on the DSP board.

Please let us know if you have any further questions,

Henrik

Anyways I hope my guitar stays in working condition

Hi there,

Sorry for my delayed answer. They told me the same thing. We have to install the latest version and it s going to work for ever.

I have a question. When I activate the system, I have extra noise - specially on heavy distortion. Do you face the same problem?

Best regards,

Hello,

I haven't tried heavy distortion on my AT200.. It's the same as in YouTube video.. if guitar volume is on.. you get the sound that string are being tuned. My suggestion is changing the batteries for new and see if that helps.. what version firmware do you have? The latest is AT200 v2.27

Hi there,

I have the AT200 v2.27 firmware and the Complete Pack v3.32. When I upload the Complete Pack v3.32 on slot 1 it was not working. I had to load the AT200 v2.27 firmware on slot 1 and reinstall the Complete Pack v3.32 on slot 2. Now it is working. Does AT200 v2.27 firmware conflicts with the Complete Pack v3.32? Should I remove the AT200 v2.27 firmware?

Best regards,

P.S.: I do appreciate your help m8! :!: :!: :!:

hello miltosm,

actually i haven't figure out how to do it.. originally i placed the Complete pack v3.32 on the 1st line and the Peavey AT200 v2.27 on the 2nd line but it didn't seem to work, so i switched the position and reversed them.. haven't really tried the different instrument models, i have more than enough guitars to occupy my interest.. were you able to download the 'Autotune for Guitar Software Pack User Manual v3.32' - 74_ATG_Guitar_Feature_Packs_v3.32.pdf (latest as of Oct 2015) and 'Fret Control Complete v5' - Fret_Control_Complete_v5.pdf

i attached the pdf file.. hope it helps.. I haven't even read them so please post results.. thanks

Hi there,

Below you will find my setup - as it is on the manual. Is yours the same?

From Antares they told me to remove Peavey AT200 v2.27. I asked them the reason.

Best regards,

As far as I understand the instructions.. the guitar needs at least one program in it for the antares transfer application.. when I put Complete Pack v3.32 on first string and AT200 v2.27 on the second string.. I feel im not able to access the different guitar modelling.. so I switched it and place AT200 v2.27 on first string and Complete Pack v3.32 on second string.. I haven't tried the functions yet.. I was more excited with my 84 Cort Space G2 headless travel guitar in pearl white, which I have modded.. SD p-rail with triple shot mounting ring and push-pull for out of phase neck only.. no switch so it's like Jazz bass VVT.. Jescar stainless steel frets (professionally installed).

Hi there,

We both have the same setup. Like this it is possible to access the different guitar modelling. From Antares they told me to remove the Peavey AT200 v2.27. I asked them the reason, but so far I have no answer.

I tried the guitar modelling and it is really good. I have a Ibanez RG350 and the Japan Custom HSH modelling is almost the same! I really like these:

- Modern Humbucker used a 24 fret/25.5" scale guitar with a set of Seymour Duncan Hot Rodded Humbucker set (SH-4 JB and SH-2n).

- California Single Coil used a standard Strat (25.5" scale) with standard Strat Pickup locations.

- Acoustic used three different steel string guitars, a dreadnought (Bridge), an OM (Middle), and a finger style guitar (Neck).

- Nashville Single Coil used a standard Tele (25.5" scale) with standard Tele Pickup locations.

- P-90 used a Les Paul Special with 22 fret/24.75" scale and the pickups at the following locations: Pickup distance from the bridge break over point to the center of the pickup: Bridge Pickup: 1.937”/Neck Pickup: 5.875”.

- SLO Custom HSH: This is based on a MusicMan SM-Y2D with 22 fret/25.5" scale. Pickups in the following locations (bridge break over point to center of pickup): Bridge 1.625", Middle 2.812" (right next to the bridge p/u), 5.812".

- Bass is a three position selection with the following models: Jazz Bass bridge (Bridge position), Jazz Bass both pickups (Middle position), and Precision (P-Bass) Bass (Neck position).

- Japan Custom HSH is an Ibanez JEM EVO replica used with 25.5" scale and pickups in standard Ibanez locations - the one I said before.

I will let know if I get a reply from Antares.

Thanks.. am glad that you finally got it to work.. right now I'm enjoying the tonewoodamp effects and DI unit (basically it's not really an amp, it connects to the back of the acoustic guitar and vintage the back, the sound comes out of soundhole) it's cool accessory.. I will try my AT200 when I get the chance.
