Midibase display does not work! What to do?

Post by Heinz Koopmann » Sun Jun 03, 2012 10:03 am

Hello from Hannover, Germany,
I got a Midibase with the splitter and Spectrum Bass 15 yers ago. That time, I got ill. It took me 15 years to be back on stage again and now I want to use my Midibase. But it does'nt work, the display of the Bassguitar is not alight. :shock: It shows nothing. Not just a red dot. It seems to be turned off.

The Midi-wiring is OK. The Midibase works pretty fine in analog. I tried the multicore between Bassguitar and splitter in both directions - nothing happens. Is there a battery in there??

Is anyone out there who can give assistance??? :?:

Mr. Peavey - or anyone else out there, please help!!! :idea:

I really appriciate any idea

Best regards
Heinz Koopmann

Sorry my English is not as good as my German! :(

Hello Heinz - hope you got your issue sorted out. If you didn't, and your MidiBase is gathering dust somewhere, reply back to this thread. I might have some simple suggestions for fixes that you can try.

Hi, I too have a Midibase unit that has had a battery replacement. The unit patches are all missing. Is there a Sysex file available that will reload the patches?

@Wofstudio53
If I remember right the patches can be uploaded from the Spectrum ROM.If you can think of a way to access it I'll gladly copy the SYSTEMEX from mine and send you it.

Afraid I'm not midi savvy
