All LEDs on PR12D blinking, no sound output

Post by BobZak » Wed May 18, 2011 8:08 pm

Tonight during band practice our PR12D speaker stopped working and all the LEDs on front and back started blinking with no sounds coming from the speaker. Neither recycling the on/off switch nor unplugging the power cord and plugging it back in changed the condition. Manual doesn't address constant blinking lights. Mixer went to the Direct In. Any ideas what's wrong?

No clue. But I would be on the phone to Peavey Customer Service first thing Thursday.

Best of luck,

There is a problem on some models where if the signal clips then some relay or something latches and blitzes out the system. Peavey is aware of the problem and will send a replacement part. Contact your dealer and they should be able to help you out.

The part is pretty much plug and play, though getting it out of the cabinet is a little bit of a chore. Out of the many we've sold here at my shop, only a couple have had the problem.

Don't believe me. I'm just guessing.
