I have purchased a pair of the above speakers second hand and must say they are really good, but on looking around for reviews etc the specs are different to mine just wondering if there were different versions of the speaker.
My specs are as follows.
300 watt program with high frequency driver protection.serial no. Eo141719 and Eo141723 both with a manufacture date of mfg date AEA19
Specs for all reviews I have looked at.
400 watt programme with rx14 driver protection.
Any help with more information on my model why they are different to the majority of PR15s out there and the manufacture date would be greatly appreciated

Re: Peavey PR15 passive speakers
Where did you find the specs for 300 watts?
Re: Peavey PR15 passive speakers
On the back of the back of the speakers where you plug in the 1/4 jacks

Re: Peavey PR15 passive speakers
Maybe they're British watts. After all, you blokes think a British Pound is worth $1.25 and we think a pound is 16 ounces.
Actually, the math almost works out:
1 pound = 1.25 dollars
1 British watt = 1.25 American watts
300 British watts x 1.25 = 375 American watts
That's pretty darned close.

Just thought I would post my reply for Peavey about my original post explains everything hope it helps other people
These serial numbers aren't in our records anymore, but they look legitimate.
They all really have the same power ratings. Originally we spec.'d than at 300 watts program but retested them and then changed the rating to 400 watts program. I think the very first ones had 14XT drivers and then newer ones have RX 14 drivers. They are very similar. The 14XT offers a replacement diaphragm assembly but the RX14 does not.
