I've had my Peavey XR8600 powered mixer and two peavey pro 12 full range speakers for a while now.
Today I bought two Peavey UL-112 subs off of eBay. I presumed the correct way to connect them was to go from the mixer into the input of the sub, and then from the hi pass of the sub, up to the full range (pro 12). However when I don't his only the sub works.
I tried going from the mixer into the input of the full range (pro 12) and then from the output down to the sub. Both the sub and the full range worked this way.
Am I right in presuming this is not the correct method and in fact it should work the 1st way?
Any input will be greatly appreciated

One would think that, if you connect to the full-range Pro 12 first, then it would also be trying to reproduce the extreme low frequencies that were meant for your sub only. I think you are right--it should work the 1st way. However, I have never used either of these speakers, so I am no authority on this subject.
