Can someone please confirm my amp/speaker compatibility.
Stereo setup with each side consisting of
Peavey messenger mk2 prosub 15" 600w program 4ohm linked to
Peavey pv215 700w program 4 ohm
According to Peavey, these pro sub's have clever crossover that keeps impedance at 4 ohm even when daisyed to another 4 ohm cab?
There fore, each side is 1300w program at 4ohm?
I will be using a behringer ep4000 power amp which at 4 ohm states
2 x 950w RMS and 2 x 1400w peak power
Does this set up sound stable?

Re: speaker to amp matching
There is not a system available that will maintain impedance when daisy chaining cabinets together.jcb3cx55 wrote: According to Peavey, these pro sub's have clever crossover that keeps impedance at 4 ohm even when daisyed to another 4 ohm cab?
you are presenting a 2 ohm load to the amp which is not recommended.

Re: speaker to amp matching
or is it a crossover the sends the highs to the tops and lows to the single 215? i think with that the impedance stays 4 ohms?
correct me if wrong though.

Re: speaker to amp matching
Not according to Peavey's spec of these sub's. When linking these sub's into any satellite speaker system, their clever crossover keeps impedance at 4 ohms. I've had this confirmed by peavey.
And yes, crossover sends lows to sub's and mids/tops to the pv215 s
