Peavey Black Widow Crossover Fault

Post by TC99 » Thu Jan 02, 2020 9:02 am

Hi,

I'm looking to repair a couple of Peavey crossovers, both with a blown capacitor. The said caps on both crossovers (centre of PCB) have been mostly carbonised but for one capacitor's back surviving but without the most important data on it, i.e. its value. I am therefore seeking any advice which might be helpful in identifying the cap value/voltage etc or by some chance a schematic of the crossover.

Thanks!

Finally got the model number of the speakers using the crossover shown in the photos in my original post. The model of speaker is "RX Series". Does this help anyone with advice for me on a schematic at least the value of the blown cap?

I am not familiar with that crossover, but that looks like a polyswitch or a varister.
