PV900 connection.

Post by bobthelogs » Mon Apr 24, 2017 11:34 am

Hi,

I am looking for advice on connecting two amplifiers together to run
1) a pair of Peavey 2XT and
2) a pair of Peavey 115XT.

My question is, If I connect my PV900 with the L & R inputs, with the channel A and channel B outputs to the 2XT speakers.

then, link from the thru low out to the inputs of a 'non Peavey' amp then on to the two 115XTs. ?

Question is, if I press in the Low cut and the 150Hz Cross over buttons on the back of the PV900, will this cut the high frequencies to the 2XTs as well as the amplifier inputs ( thru connection ) for the 115XTs ?

Or do I connect the 2nd amp from the thru outputs and NOT select the PV900 internal 150Hz and allow the in built X-overs inside the 115XT to cut the high frequencies ?

thanks in advance, Dan.

Please, can anyone advise ??

I basically want to know if you press in the x-over button in on the back of the amp, does it cut the high frequencies to the output as well as the thru (1/4") jack connection.

thanks
Dan.

Actually, I THINK it sends the highs on through, but really, the owner manual explains it pretty well, both with descriptions and with clear drawings of connections.
