Peavey Standard Mixer amp PA
Peavey Standard Mixer amp PA
I'm looking as buying an older Standard Series 260 PA amp. I've found hints on looking up the serial number but the hints say the prefix should have an (A) or a (E), this one has a (P). 3P to be exact. Anybody got any info?
Re: Peavey Standard Mixer amp PA
All the Standard PAs would be in the 40-45 year old range. To me age doesn't mean much, condition is everything. I'd much rather have a 40 year old amp in good shape and working than a 15 year old amp that sucks. 3? could be 1973 or 1983. If you just have to know the year, look on the backs of controls and on larger parts like transformers for the date codes.

Thanks,
I found the owners manual. I agree with you that it working is the most important thing, besides Peavey lasts forever. It looks old, the fuse housing is gone and the cord/plug needs to be replaced. I'm just concerned how much more $$ I'll have to spend.

Fuse holders are cheap.
