Giddaye. I have a CS4080HZ power amp which has worked quite well for years now without a hitch.
Just lately there is quite a loud clunk in the speakers as it turns off.
The speaker protection relays sound like they are tuning on and off properly. The clunk seems to happen just as the relays go off.
There is no DC off-set when the unit is on.
It happens in both speakers.
All this happens still with no input connected.
switches are set for stereo mode
With signal connected, the amp seems to work as it should
Any ideas?

Re: Power off clunk in CS4080HZ
Ok... turns out it's only in one channel.
Maybe the contacts in the speaker protection relay are sticking.
Is that something that anyone else has seen ?
