Post by Stevie B Disco » Tue Jun 06, 2017 9:23 am

Hi
Hope somebody can give me some guidence. My old Peavey 8-5c keeps burning resister number R225 ( 70240017) can you advise as to why and where to start looking to find the cause. Nothing else is tripping like the breaker or fuse and the rest of the board looks fine .Any help would be very much appreciated . Regards Steve

The 1k resistor feeding into IC U202A? If so, certainly the IC would be bad.

Have you explored the output transistors and driver board circuits? The vast majority of bad parts look no different from good ones.
