Hey guys,
I recently ordered the CS400. Definitely excited about it since I grew up with the brand. I'm waiting for it to be delivered. Got it for $75 so I jumped on it. The CS800 would have been a better buy for what I need it for.
Now, I have 2 118's, 2 215's, and 2 little 110's. I'm selling off my cheap GTD3000 Amp. It powered the 215's decently. I'm switching over all my equipment over to all Peavey.
My question is, do you guys think this amp will be okay to power the 215's? I know I need a much more powerful amp but this one is a classic. Anything I should look out for? Anyway where I can wire it up to get it's most potential? Sorry for sounding like a noob lol.
Also the mixer I'm using is a Peavey Unity 2000.
Thanks guys, any info is much appreciated.

No way to answer the question without knowing the models and watt ratings of the speakers.

700w program 1400 peak. I literally just bought an older PV1500 amp as well. If anything I'll use the CS to drive my little 110's. 50W program 100W peak.

Well, generally, for safety margin, we look to an amp that is rated at about 80% of the program power rating of the speaker. For the 215's, bridging is out of the question. The PV1500 is rated at 500 watts per channel at 4 ohms so that's about 72% of the program rating on your 215's and I'd say that's a pretty darned good match.
You'll need another amp to power your subs now.

Aahhhh got you. I'm thinking of just keeping my Pyle Pro PTA1000 for my subs. I have it bridged with the subs Daisy chained. They kick pretty hard but eventually I'll get a Peavey for those too.

I'm a huge fan on Peavey's so I see myself posting here for a while.
